General oil-based tire waxes are created by considering several different standard silicones (dimethylpolysiloxane) according to their use purpose, such as longevity, luster, or film formation. These are then combined and bound. It is not simply a matter of higher concentrations of silicone are better. (Depending on the type, high concentrations of silicone can cause tires to turn brown.) The combining and binding methods of 2-4 varieties of silicone determine whether it will produce a good product or not. TLD-300 is a tire wax which maintains a normal level of performance while pushing its price to the lower limit. Colorless, transparent, and even finish.
