What are the characteristics of a paint protection film that can be reliably applied to the complex three-dimensional surface of a vehicle while providing high levels of physical protection? The high-permeability, high-polymer polyurethane material provides a high level of transmittance (transparency) and outstanding elasticity. The film will stretch up to four times its original size, and also has the ability to revert to that size. This ability to both extend and contract is what enables the film to fit complex body shapes.
[Paint Protection] Our High-quality Film Uniquely Developed and Supplied
Outstanding protection achieved using special materials
The film has a thickness of 150μ, several times that of window film, providing both strength and flexibility. The adhesive is 50μ thick, enabling it to absorb shocks exceptionally well. The combination of elasticity, strength and shock absorption ability allows the film to adhere tightly to the body while providing an unprecedented level of protection against impacts. It protects the body from most scratches, dents, and chipping of the paint caused by flying gravel while driving, taking full advantage of the shock absorption ability.
Due to its high protection performance, it is even used for racing cars. In UNIGLOBE's independent tests, no damage to the body occurred even at speeds of 200km/h.
Test
We applied film to half of a test piece and used a machine to simulate impacts by gravel while driving. We then compared the side with film to the side without film.
- 1. We simulated gravel flying at the surface while driving, resulting in scratches to the test piece.
- 2. The upper half has film applied, while the lower half does not.
- 3. You can't see any scratches on the upper half once the film is removed.
