There are many varieties of silicone oil which can be used for different purposes. Largely categorizing them based on manufacturing method, there are 2 types: oil-based and water-based. Products must be selected to suit the area of application and the desired effect. Additionally, silicone oil can sometimes affect other processes at painting factories. To avoid this, there are polishing products with alternative components in lieu of silicone oil.
